Marketing Assistant

 

The Marketing Assistant supports the Marketing Department fully with all projects including implementation of marketing campaign tactics, coordinating production assets for use in promotional and sales materials, contributing to sales pitches and more.

What you’ll do​:

  • Oversee projects in support of series marketing campaign implementation and activation.
  • Pull and archive all promotional production assets (key art, title treatments, loglines, stills, etc) for marketing use. Determine how they are stored, how they are shared and how they are searched.
  • Maintain calendars and logs for all production and sales assets for distribution to all relevant parties: PR, Marketing, Development, Production, Programming, Sales, etc.
  • Create communication systems to inform all internal stakeholders of marketing priorities and campaigns, including drafting and sending weekly internal emails and creating planning decks.
  • Maintain social media reach stats and tracking for all active campaigns and New Form Talent by using tools such as Tubular Labs and Mention.
  • Implement weekly performance reports by project and for the department overall, ie managing custom dashboards and updating working recap decks.
  • Maintain storage of all marketing merchandise and keep a running inventory log.
  • Manage expense reports for the department – reconcile costs on master department budget.
  • Manage invoicing process for marketing productions and events.
  • Maintain relationships and support partners and vendors for all marketing requests.
  • Lightly manage scheduling and filing for VP, Marketing.
  • Perform other research and special projects as needed and assigned.

Who you are:

  • 1-2 years experience in the entertainment industry, passion for marketing is key.
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented with a knack for process, procedures and structure – both independently and in small teams.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-departments, think proactively and be solution-oriented. Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; articulate and well spoken.
  • Intimate knowledge of all social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) including best practices for creative assets.
  • Working knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Suite and other communication and document-or deck-building tools mandatory. WordPress and Adobe Creative Cloud skills a plus!
  • Interest in creative writing and has a ‘keen eye’ for art and design.
  • Up-to-date on trends in digital, tech and millennial lifestyle.

About New Form

The intern would have a passion for and knowledge of digital entertainment and the world of social media influencers. You would also have a proven track record of completing projects efficiently to support and fulfill the strategic objectives of New Form.

You should be a strong communicator, creative and tenacious, with a passion to take part in creating content with today’s most influential creators. If you’re comfortable taking ownership of projects independently and collaborating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, keep reading. This is a part-time paid internship position.

Responsibilities​:

  • Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.

  • Knowledgeable about trends in technology and digital entertainment.

Ideal Experience:

Coordinator, Production Accounting

 

About New Form

Coordinator will assist the Production Accounting Department with inputting, payroll, filing and updating financial log to reflect accurate reporting.  The Coordinator, Production Accounting, will assist in providing day-to-day accounting and financial analysis support and support all productions.

What you’ll do​:

  • Work with the Manager and Sr. Director, Production Accounting, to input and track budgets in Excel, assist with other financial aspects of Series Productions using analytical, accounting and other production experience.
  • Assist in inputting and tracking expenses.
  • Assist with processing payroll.
  • Assist in tracking spend across various productions.
  • Assist Manager in various reconciliation processes regarding the production costs and cash sent to Productions.
  • Assist in maintaining all financial documents organized.
  • Assist in tracking film tax credit information.
  • Maintain organized accounting record keeping.

Who you are:

  • 2 years work experience in a corporate environment.
  • Accounting background including knowledge of trial balance, financials, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations required.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business/Econ.
  • Minimum 2 years’ production accounting, film/TV finance experience (TV or Film and/or accounting in the film industry) or accounting experience desired.
  • Attention to detail, desire for accuracy, and a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and intermediate skills in all other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Strong willingness to learn and be a great team player.

Manager, HR

 

The Human Resources Manager will report into the General Counsel. The HR Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function specializing in recruitment, compliance, employee relations and culture. We are looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of HR experience within a production or studio who can appreciate a fast paced start-up environment.

What you’ll do​:

  • Spearhead formalized recruitment process across the company, with data, tracking, goals and clear communication to executive team.

  • Manage all employee relations matters, including without limitation, field and answer questions related to employment; including benefits, payroll, onboarding, policies, compliance, workers comp.

  • Manage the bi-annual review and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.

  • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization’s wage and salary program.

  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance. Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters.

  • Communicates changes in the organization’s personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.  Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

  • Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the General Counsel, on personnel matters.

  • Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities or personnel matters.

  • Recommends, evaluates and participates in staff development for the organization.

  • Maintains company’s human resource information system that meets the organization’s personnel information needs.

  • Participates on committees and special projects and seeks additional responsibilities.
  • Conduct investigations related to workplace fraud, harassment, discrimination and safety.

Director, Production Accounting

 

This is an ideal position for an individual who has gained strong experience in a previous production accounting role and seeks to apply those skill to a fast-growing company.  The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a dynamic start-up environment, will bring energy and passion to everything he/she does, and will not be afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to tackle challenging assignments.

What you’ll do​:

  • Assist with Banking activities like setting up new accounts, adding new signatures, bank reconciling items, banking fees, positive pay exceptions, etc.

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements.

  • Ensure that all deliverables comply with regulatory guidance and professional standards.

  • Conform with and abide by all regulatory guidance and internal policies & procedures

  • Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned.

  • Prepares and records asset, liability and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.

  • Assists in preparation of monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives, including “Budget vs. Actual” variance reports and Trial Balance. Assist in providing follow-up and documentation of significant variances.

  • Assist with completion of the quarterly if any and annual regulatory filings; preparation of assigned Quarterly and Annual Statutory Statement pages/schedules.

  • Coordinate and resolve various issues with bank such as cleared check differences, bank fee anomalies, targeted balance calculations and enhancements to online services.

What you’ll need to have​:

  • 1.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 8+ years of experience working in accounting or a related financial area

  • Must be proficient in Windows, Excel, and Word.

  • Experience with Unions

  • Experience with Production Tax Credit

Sr. Director, Brand Partnerships/New York


Based in New York, the Sr. Director of Brand Partnerships is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of advertiser marketing solutions that maximize revenue for New Form. The primary responsibility is to implement new entertainment products that promote the advertiser’s brand through New Form’s scripted series and video initiatives. Given that New Form’s focus is scripted digital originals, the ideal candidate has experience in creating, pitching and supporting narrative-driven digital productions.

Reporting to the VP of Brand Partnerships, the Sr. Director of Brand Partnerships will be responsible for developing and managing a large book of accounts across a wide array of categories and territories.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive revenue through building, managing and growing national brand advertising and agency business.  
  • Deliver marketing solutions for client in the form of Branded Integrations, Branded Entertainment, Branded Content, Sponsorships, and Vignettes.
  • Develop and execute short term as well as long term marketplace strategies.
  • Maintain cross functional relationship within New Form.
  • Serve as an expert in the branded content and integration space within the marketplace.
  • Accurately manage account projections and forecasting.
  • Identify client KPIs and utilize knowledge of client business objectives to deliver effective campaigns.
  • Package and negotiate advertising programs to assure customer satisfaction and achieve revenue objectives.
  • Use knowledge of competition and industry to develop and execute key strategies to generate business.
